What are your hours?

We go by appointment only. Because of Dr. Louie’s military obligations we do not always have 9-5 business hours.  We do our best to accommodate our patients including offering evening and weekend appointments when mutually convenient.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept Medicare, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield PPO insurances. We are in the process of expanding our affiliations with other insurance carriers.  Keep visiting our website for insurance updates. Cosmetic and medical acupuncture are not always a covered benefit.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept VISA, MasterCard and Discover. Payment is due at the time of appointment. We do not accept checks.

Yes, depending on condition and circumstances.

How do I make an appointment?

Call us at (949) 855-2843. New patients can download New Patient Intake Forms located in the left margin on our website. Complete the forms and bring to your appointment along with your photo ID and your insurance card and insurance information. New Patients will be instructed to arrive 15 minutes prior to their appointment to complete all remaining paperwork.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your appointment please give us at least 24 hours notice. We understand about emergencies and take that into consideration. Failure to cancel may result in a $50.00 charge.

Should I bring a list of my medications to the visit?

YES! Bring a list of ALL your medication and supplement information. If in doubt…bring them to your appointment. Please keep us updated on any medication or supplement changes.

What hospitals are you affiliated with?

Dr. Louie has privileges at Saddleback Memorial Hospital in Laguna Hills.

What is your policy concerning transfer of medical records?

We follow HIPAA regulations. A signed Medical Release Authorization Form must be completed prior to copying and releasing medical records. There is no charge to copy and send records to another physician. There is a charge to copy records for personal use. Refer to our Privacy Rules for more information.

How do I contact Dr. Louie after hours?

If you feel that you have a medical emergency and are unable to reach us, you are to go directly to your nearest Emergency Department or call 911.
